San Gabriel Students Earn Place in History

Students from Jefferson Intermediate School in San Gabriel recently won the most first-place awards at the Los Angeles County History Day competition at USC.
The Jefferson first-place winners are: Brian Arroyo, George Chu, Dennis Maglinte, Mark Mao, Paul Padilla, William Pao and Kathy Thai. Second-place winners are: Khin Chin, Doug Hutcheson, Bobby Ponce and Ken Sakamoto.
Eleven Jefferson first- and second-place winners will compete in the annual State History Day event in May in Sacramento.
