Miramax Reportedly for Sale: Miramax, the New York-based independent movie company whose films include the recent hit “The Crying Game,” is for sale, according to Newsweek magazine. Citing unnamed Hollywood sources, it said potential buyers include Paramount Communications and Walt Disney Co. Such rumors have surfaced in the last two years, but owners Harvey and Bob Weinstein have said they planned to stay independent. A company spokeswoman denied the Newsweek report Sunday.
