Boycott TV Violence

Kudos to Howard Rosenberg for warning us what to expect in the way of viewing during the May ratings sweeps (“Time for the Prime-Time Crime Wave,” April 14). This forewarning will give all of us “50-plus” viewers a chance to marshal our troops and boycott what we object to on TV.

We hear it everywhere, and not just among the older crowd: “Violence in television leads to violence in society.” Now’s our chance to put our money where our mouths are! Oldsters, parents, concerned citizens, take a stand! Boycott the violence for one month! Maybe then the producers and advertisers will take us seriously and provide an alternative.
