Atwater Village : Market Slated for Office Site

Hughes Markets will open a supermarket southeast of Fletcher Drive and San Fernando Road on the site of its former corporate offices, according to Los Angeles City Councilman Mike Hernandez.
The new 37,000-square-foot market is expected to create 100 to 150 jobs in the area when it opens late this year.
Hughes offices occupied the site from the early 1950s until November, 1992, when the company opened new corporate offices in Irwindale.
