She Loves You, Yo! Yo! Yo!: Michael Jackson, who owns the rights to the Beatles’ catalogue of songs by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, was sued for $76 million for breach of contract by an entertainment group that had planned to produce an album of rap stars performing songs by the Fab Four. Filing suit was 57/Sunset Entertainment Inc., which contends that an executive at ATV Music, owned by Jackson, had reached a deal with 57/Sunset. The executive has since left the Jackson firm, but the suit filed Thursday in New York claims that the deal is still valid. Jackson was said to believe that rap versions of the Beatles’ “Revolution,” “Lady Madonna” and “Give Peace a Chance” would not be appropriate.
