Dale E. Bredesen has been named the first recipient of the Elizabeth R. and Thomas E. Plott Chair in Gerontology at the UCLA School of Medicine.
Established with a $500,000 gift from the Plott family, the chair was created to advance research in aging and age-related diseases. It is the first such position for the university’s new Center on Aging.
