LOS ANGELES : Vote on Closing Parks to Gang Members Delayed
- Share via
The Los Angeles City Council Friday postponed consideration of a controversial proposal that would ban gang members from all of Los Angeles’ parks, playgrounds and beaches.
Councilman Hal Bernson asked for the delay, saying he hopes to pick up support from two colleagues who were not present Friday, but who are expected to be next Tuesday when the proposal is to be discussed for the second time.
The Police Department opposes the proposed law as unenforceable.
