Buy Site for Parkland

With all the lobbying that the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy has done to promote and sponsor the Ahmanson Ranch City, I was glad to see the agency make efforts to purchase the Hope land for parkland if the Ahmanson City deal collapses.
The parkland purchase need not hinge on the development. Since federal, state, regional and county governments all want to see this land become parkland, they should buy it!
