Beverly Hills : Meals on Wheels Honored

Mayor Maxwell Salter and the City Council honored the Beverly Hills Meals on Wheels program Tuesday for its 15 years of service to the community.
The program, which is funded by private donations and administered by a cadre of volunteers, has provided more than 500,000 meals to the elderly and disabled since its inception. The meals are prepared by Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and delivered by the volunteers to the homes of recipients.
