News Shuffle: Gerry Solomon, the former executive producer of NBC News’ “Meet the Press” and “Sunday Today,” has been named managing editor of ABC’s “Good Morning, America.” Solomon will supervise GMA’s team of writers, as well as writing portions of the newscast himself. He recently ended a 19-year career at NBC News.
