Rookie of the Year Shaquille O’Neal of the Orlando Magic and Alonzo Mourning of the Charlotte Hornets were unanimous choices on the NBA all-rookie team. Joining them on the first team were Christian Laettner of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Tom Gugliotta of the Washington Bullets and LaPhonso Ellis of the Denver Nuggets.
