We enjoyed the article “Meandering Along Washington State’s Spellbinding ‘Jewel Coast,’ ” April 18. We have driven through Washington state many times to visit our aunt, who lives just across the Canadian border from Blaine, Wash., in the beautiful resort town of White Rock, B.C. We can see the Inn at Semiahmoo, mentioned in the story, from my aunt’s sun porch.
We usually cross into Canada through beautiful Peace Arch Park; however, there is also a customs crossover at Aldergrove, B.C. And we continue to enjoy our trips north through the beautiful state of Washington, bypassing the heavy traffic gridlock highway bridges through Seattle by taking Interstate 405 past Tacoma.
