Ryan McKee of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps became the fourth player in NCAA Division III men’s tennis history to win singles and doubles championships in the same year.
In the tournament, third-seeded McKee, a senior from Laguna Beach, won the singles over fifth-seeded Morgan Shepherd of UC Santa Cruz, 7-6 (10-8), 6-3. McKee then teamed with Tim Cooley for the doubles crown, a 7-5, 7-6 (7-1) triumph over Jeff Bethard and John Cross of UC San Diego.
