Advisory on Freeway Work

Caltrans advises motorists that it has scheduled the following freeway work in the Southeast and Long Beach area this week. Repair locations are identified in the list below by the nearest city or cities.
FIRESTONE BOULEVARD (42)
* South Gate: Eastbound and westbound alternating lanes at the Rio Hondo River Bridge; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday; bridge repair.
SAN GABRIEL RIVER FREEWAY (605)
* Whittier: Whittier Boulevard off-ramp from the northbound San Gabriel River Freeway (605); 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday; landscaping.
SANTA ANA FREEWAY (5)
* East Los Angeles: Southbound No. 5 lane from Ditman Avenue to the southbound Long Beach Freeway (710) at Triggs Street; 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday; landscaping.
* Various Cities: Southbound No. 1 lane from Lakewood Boulevard to Artesia Boulevard; 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday; sweeping.
* Various Cities: Southbound No. 1 lane from Indiana Avenue to Lakewood Boulevard; 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday; sweeping.
TERMINAL ISLAND FREEWAY (47)
* San Pedro: Westbound No. 2 lane of the Vincent Thomas Bridge; 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday; electrical lighting repairs.
