Here are some numbers for voter information. One note of caution: The numbers are often busy, so be patient and leave yourself plenty of time:
ABSENTEE BALLOTING: Applications for an absentee ballot are on the back of sample ballots. The deadline for requesting one by mail from the city elections office is Tuesday. Ballots must be received by the city by 8 p.m. on June 8. For applications, call (213) 485-4615, Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
WHERE TO VOTE: Your sample ballot should tell you where to vote. Otherwise, call the city elections office, (213) 485-3581, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., to find the location of your polling place.
HOURS OF VOTING: 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., June 8.
SAMPLE BALLOTS: If you have not received your sample ballot, call the city election division of the City Clerk’s office, (213) 485-3581. To request a ballot in Spanish, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean or Chinese, call the city elections division at (800) 994-VOTE.
COPIES OF MEASURES: A summary and full text of each city measure is included in your sample ballot.
REPORTING VOTING VIOLATIONS: Call the city elections office, (213) 485-3581, if you observe a problem.
HOW TO REGISTER FOR NEXT TIME: The deadline to register for this election has passed. For future elections, you can register at any post office, library, fire station or Department of Motor Vehicle office. You should also re-register if you want to change your party affiliation, are moving or changing your name.
DEBATES: The final debates by majoral candidates Richard Riordan and Michael Woo will be broadcast Saturday from 6 to 7 p.m. on KTTV Channel 11 and radio station KCRW-FM 88.9, and Sunday from 9 to 10 p.m. on KCOP Channel 13.
