Paramount Adds a Detroit TV Station: It said it has agreed to buy Fox affiliate WKBD-TV in Detroit from Cox Enterprises Inc. Paramount Communications Inc. already owns three Fox affiliates in Philadelphia, Raleigh-Durham, N.C., and San Antonio, as well as three independent stations in Dallas, Houston and Washington. Although the company did not disclose the price, one source said it would exceed $100 million. The transaction, which is subject to regulatory and board approval, is expected to close by September.
