Merck Raises Prices 4.2% on 23 Drugs: The move by the nation’s biggest drug company puts its drug prices slightly ahead of the inflation rate. Prices went up on the popular Vasotec and Prinivil heart drugs, the prostate drug Proscar and the ulcer drug Pepcid. The increases, implemented June 14, are the first since November for Merck & Co. and come as Washington debates how to rein in the soaring cost of health care.
