Pomona : Storm Pipe to Be Installed
The county will spend $2.4 million to install nearly two miles of storm-drain pipe in Pomona along San Antonio Avenue, where flooding has occurred during heavy rains.
The new pipe, nearly eight feet in diameter in some sections, will be laid along San Antonio Avenue from County Road to Phillips Boulevard. It will also branch off eastward along Philadelphia Street and Franklin Avenue, from San Antonio Avenue to Reservoir Street.
Work will begin in August and should take about a year. During construction, lanes along the project streets may be closed.
