Darren Angel of Northridge shot a one-over-par 73 and finished with a score of 311, tied for 54th place in the 72-hole American Junior Golf Assn.’s Rolex Tournament of Champions at Horseshoe Bend Country Club in Roswell, Ga.

Angel finished 29 shots behind champion Gilberto Morales of Venezuela.

John Czimbal has been hired as sports information director at Cal Lutheran.

Czimbal, who has held similar positions at Mt. San Antonio College, Saddleback College and Cal State Los Angeles, replaces John Anthony.

Anthony resigned and is moving to Texas to pursue a job in major league baseball.
