THOUSAND OAKS : Reward Offered in Fountain Explosion

The Ventura County Crime Stoppers Program is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that helps identify the person who used an altered carbon dioxide cartridge to blow up a fountain in a Thousand Oaks shopping center.
The fountain, in a strip shopping center at 3075 Thousand Oaks Blvd., was damaged after business hours Tuesday night, officials said in a prepared statement.
About $2,000 in damage was done to the fountain after the cartridge was placed inside it and detonated.
Anyone with information on the incident should call 494-TALK. Callers may remain anonymous and will be assigned a number as their only form of identification.
If the information provided leads to an arrest and the filing of a complaint, the caller will be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000, officials said.
