* Regarding Jennifer MacNair’s article “College Graduates Are Ideal for the New Health Plan,” Opinion, Oct. 3: While she asserts that the strength of the Clinton plan is universal coverage, she fails to explain exactly how this is obtained. The President is going to force businesses to bear the brunt of health care costs.
As a junior at Claremont McKenna College who has already begun job hunting, I am terrified about this employer mandate. When it costs companies more money to hire people, they do less hiring. I can only hope that Congress will muster up enough sense to drop this onerous burden before I graduate.
