LOS ANGELES : Gay and Lesbian Task Force Names Organizing Chief

The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force has named Curtis Shepard to head a new Los Angeles-based program devoted to campus organizing.
Shepard, a former co-chairman of the task force board, has worked in various capacities in higher education. He was executive director of the California Campus Compact, an association of college and university presidents promoting public service, and most recently was a special assistant for lesbian and gay community outreach in the UCLA chancellor’s office.
