In Freeway League girls’ volleyball:
Sunny Hills 3, Troy 1--Megumi Takasaki had 10 kills, five aces and five blocks for Sunny Hills (8-2, 5-0), which won, 15-9, 15-1, 10-15, 15-6.
In the Garden Grove League:
Kennedy 3, Los Amigos 0--Lisa Pitt had seven kills to lead Kennedy (10-1, 9-0) to a 15-12, 15-12, 15-13 victory.
In the Century League girls’ tennis:
Villa Park 12, Canyon 6--Faye Devera swept in singles, 6-2, 6-0, 6-0 to lead Villa Park (9-3, 4-3).
El Modena 11, Foothill 7--Brandi Freudenberg swept her sets, 6-0, 6-2, 6-0, to remain undefeated this season for El Modena (12-0, 7-0). Her sister, freshman Holli Freudenberg, also swept her sets, 6-0, 6-0, 6-1. Holli Freudenberg has lost only once this season.
In the Garden Grove League:
Bolsa Grande 11, Pacifica 7--Christine Vu and Lisa Chau swept, 6-1, 6-4, 6-2, in doubles to spark Bolsa Grande (4-7, 3-6).
In the Sea View League:
Woodbridge 11, University 7--Natalie Exon swept at singles, 6-1, 6-1, 6-1, for visiting Woodbridge (12-4, 8-3).
In the South Coast League:
Mater Dei 14, Capistrano Valley 4--Cheri Ota and Sarah Jarrett swept their doubles sets, 6-1, 6-1, 6-3, to remain undefeated in league play for host Mater Dei (10-2, 4-1).
In the Sunset League:
Rosary 9, Fountain Valley 9 (Rosary wins on games, 72-65)--Eleanor Luzano won all three of her sets, 6-1, 6-0, 6-0, for Rosary, improving her league record to 29-1. The match was tied when Ann Dang and Stephanie Hu of Fountain Valley came back from a 2-5 deficit to defeat Patti Meinburg and Erin Dinunzio, 7-6.
