NHL ROUNDUP : Oilers Lose Seventh in Row

Craig Simpson scored twice against his old team at Edmonton, including the game-winning goal, to lead the Buffalo Sabres to a 6-3 victory Friday over the Oilers.
Buffalo’s Brad May also had two goals as the Sabres won their second game in a row and had their first victory in Edmonton since Nov. 1, 1985. The loss was Edmonton’s seventh in a row. The team is 0-9-1 in its last 10 games.
Simpson, who was traded to Buffalo in the off-season, also had an assist. He and his linemates, Alexander Mogilny and Pat LaFontaine, totaled eight points on the night.
N.Y. Islanders 4, Tampa Bay 2--Derek King scored twice and Pierre Turgeon added a pair of assists as the Islanders defeated the Lightning before 22,332 at the ThunderDome in St. Petersburg.
