Simi Valley 13, Agoura 7--J.J. Washington threw a 90-yard touchdown to Nathan Simmons on a trick play as time expired to snap a tie and give host Simi Valley (4-4, 2-3) the victory. Quarterback Tim Bennett (18 of 33, 156 yards) threw a lateral pass to Washington behind the line of scrimmage. Washington then threw a pass that was tipped by two Agoura defenders before Simmons caught it and ran for the score.
Agoura (4-4, 3-2) scored in the second quarter when Raymond Howden (11 of 22, 97 yards) threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Kevin Sass (seven catches, 48 yards).
Simi Valley tied the score, 7-7, in the third quarter after a blocked punt by Chris Azzinaro and Matt Rezinas gave the Pioneers the ball at the Charger 31. Six plays later, Bennett hit Paul Boerem with a three-yard touchdown pass.
