Montclair Prep 32, Kilpatrick 6--Wilbert Smith scored three touchdowns and rushed for 164 yards in 24 carries to lead the Mounties at Valley College. Smith has scored 35 touchdowns and rushed for 2,059 yards in eight games.
Kilpatrick (2-5) scored on Micah Blankenship’s three-yard run.
The Mounties (8-0) fumbled and lost the ball on five of six possessions in the first half. Their only score in the first half came when Smith returned a punt 49 yards.
Quarterback Darrell Dent completed seven of 11 passes for 129 yards and two touchdowns. Dent’s 48-yard scoring pass to Demetris Green in the third quarter gave Montclair Prep a 12-6 advantage. Smith capped the scoring with runs of 10 and 15 yards in the fourth quarter.
