* * * Laura Nyro, “Walk the Dog and Light the Light,” Columbia. So you’re an adult now, but you just can’t bring yourself to listen to “adult” music: Whitney Houston, Michael Bolton-- blecch ! Fear not. Nyro, who wrote such exemplary easy-listening oldies as “Wedding Bell Blues,” makes mellow respectable again with her first studio album in nearly a decade, featuring serene, ‘60s-savvy songs performed in that warm, steamy voice. Nyro appears at the Mayfair Theatre on Nov. 13.
