Let It Sink if You Want Casitas Bass

The bite of big largemouth bass slowed down at Lake Casitas near Ventura the past week, but marina manager Randy King thinks the fish are still catchable. They have merely gone to deeper water.
“It’s still in transition and the boys haven’t figured it out yet,” King said.
One who did was Mark Simpson of Oxnard, who took largemouths weighing 10 1/2 and 8 pounds on a Worm King Dinosaur lure--a rubber trout look-alike--30 feet deep.
