Filmmakers to Screen Oswald Documentary

Richard Cohen and Carol Kachmer’s “Rough Side of the Mountain,” a documentary work-in-progress investigating Lee Harvey Oswald’s attempt to register to vote in a small Louisiana town in the summer of 1963, will be screened at Petterson’s Coffees, 10019 Venice Blvd. (just east of Motor Avenue), Sunday at 7:30 p.m. The filmmakers will be present.
Cohen’s previous documentaries include “Deadly Force” (1980), an inquiry into the fatal shooting of Ron Burkholder by Los Angeles police, and “Hurry Tomorrow” (1975), a cinema verite investigation into the involuntary drugging of mental patients at the state hospital in Norwalk.
