Southern Utah Foe for CS Northridge
Cal State Northridge will play host to Southern Utah tonight at 7 in what has been a high-scoring series.
Southern Utah, 1-7-1 and 1-1 in the American West Conference, has averaged 41 points in seven games against the Matadors, but has won only three.
“They’re a good football team, as good a 1-7-1 team as you’ll ever find,” Northridge Coach Bob Burt said.
Northridge is 4-5, 1-2.
Matador tailback Robert Trice needs 168 yards to move into second place on the school’s single-season rushing list. He has 1,210 yards, behind only Albert Fann’s 1,377 in 1989 and Mike Kane’s 1,565 in ’86.
