WOODLAND HILLS — Taft High quarterback Mike Ferguson suffered a broken collarbone during the Toreadors’ 19-18 loss to San Fernando on Friday night and will miss the playoffs.
“He’s done,” Taft Coach Troy Starr said Saturday.
Dayon Shaw, who replaced Ferguson in the second quarter and threw two touchdown passes, will start in Taft’s first-round playoff game Friday against Eagle Rock.
“We have complete confidence in Dayon,” Starr said. “He proved (Friday) night that he is a quality quarterback.”
