In another 4-A Division game:
Venice 49, Van Nuys 13--Robert Hayes rushed for 232 yards and scored four touchdowns as the host Gondoliers (9-2) rolled over the Wolves (8-3).
The Venice defense forced six turnovers, converted four into touchdowns, and also held Van Nuys to just 130 total yards. Venice gained 498 yards.
Hayes scored on runs of 62, 38 and three yards and caught a 17-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Michael Blasi (five of nine for 102 yards with one touchdown).
Quarterback Chris Byfield completed seven of 14 for 101 yards with two interceptions for Van Nuys. Robert Levey gained 38 yards in 11 carries.
