Village Christian 17, Cerritos Valley Christian 14--Ignacio Brache missed two field-goal attempts during regulation but in the first round of a California tiebreaker made a kick of 28 yards to give Village Christian (7-3) the victory at Kennedy High.
Village Christian will play Yucca Valley next week.
Jacob Funk led Village Christian with 169 yards in 32 carries, and scored the game’s first touchdown on a three-yard run.
In overtime, Village Christian Mike Agnor intercepted a pass on the Cerritos Valley Christian’s third play, ending the game.
