American Health Services Corp., the Newport Beach operator of diagnostic imaging centers, incurred a net loss of $276,223, or 3 cents a share, for the third quarter, compared to a net loss of $454,175, or 5 cents a share, for the same period in 1992. Revenue declined 5%, to $9.2 million from $9.7 million.
The net loss for the nine-month period totaled $1.5 million, or 16 cents a share, compared to a net loss of $594,861, or 6 cents a share, for the year-earlier period. Revenue was down 2%, to $28.2 million from $28.9 million. The company said the revenue decline was caused in part by the sale or closure of six centers, and the expiration of two rental agreements.
