OUTLOOK
If the Eagles win 15 or 16 games this year and make the playoffs, Falconer would consider it a successful season. With no returning starters and a tough nonleague tournament schedule, that may be asking a lot from this young team. Elliott is one proven athlete Calvary Chapel will rely on to carry some of the scoring load. Falconer, in his first season as coach of the Eagles, describes Elliott as a “highlight film” who can practically jump out of the gymnasium and also shoot with deadly accuracy from the perimeter. Chedotte is a newcomer from Costa Mesa High who has never played at the high school level but showed some talent over the summer. Falconer will start his freshman son at point guard and said he is a gifted ballhandler who has grown up eating and breathing basketball. Four guards will make up the starting corps for the Eagles, with 6-6 Leasau filling up the middle.
