Peter Adams of Pasadena has been elected the 39th president of the California Art Club. Adams studied at the Art Center College of Design, the Otis Art Institute, San Miguel de Allende and served seven years apprenticeship with mural, landscape and portrait painter Theodore N. Lukits.
His most recent exhibit was at the Pacific Asia Museum in Pasadena.

Joyce Hughes of Glendora has been installed as the 10th president of the Glendora Kiwanianne Club.
The club provides scholarships at area high schools, funds the Senior Trippership Program in the city’s Human Services Department, delivers Meals on Wheels and supports the Coordinating Council’s Holiday Baskets and Camperships.
Hughes, a graduate of Brigham Young University and a former teacher, is the coordinator for the Glendora School District’s Green Circle Program. She also holds board positions on the Citrus College Foundation and Glendora Council PTA.
