LOS ANGELES COUNTY : Chief Administrator Names Top Assistant

Los Angeles County’s new chief administrative officer, Sally Reed, has named Sandra M. Davis, the county treasurer and tax collector, as her top assistant.
The move was the first of many high-level transfers expected to occur under Reed, who has promised to shake up the upper echelons of county management.
Davis, 43, will replace Assistant Chief Administrative Officer Mary Jung, who will become chief deputy to Health Services Director Robert Gates.
Davis has been treasurer and tax collector since 1987 and has 24 years of county experience, working in the Parks and Recreation Department, the registrar-recorder’s office and the auditor-controller’s office.
