The Laguna Artists Fire Relief Fund, sponsored by the Laguna Art Museum, will award $27,400 to 21 artists who have lost homes, studios and art in the October fire. Grants--raised by community contributions and one-quarter of the proceeds from the museum’s art auction last month--range from $500 to $2,000. Ballet Pacifica, which lost its warehouse in the fire, also will receive $2,000 at a reception for grantees on Dec. 21. Another round of smaller awards may be bestowed on local artists in January, according to museum officials.
