Robin Smith Jurado of Eagle Rock has been appointed coordinator of the network of volunteers for Five Acres, a therapeutic center for abused and neglected children.
Jurado was formerly in the legal and business affairs department of Warner/Chappell Music Inc. She graduated from Columbia University Law School in 1983 and plans to devote full time to volunteerism following more than 10 years as a practicing attorney, Five Acres officials said.
Five Acres, at 760 W. Mountain View St. in Altadena, has served more than 10,000 Southern California children and their families since it was founded as an orphanage in 1888.
