The O.C. Philharmonic Society’s new executive director has been called a team player with a good sense of humor and clever fund-raising ideas. He needs all that to lead the county’soldest and most prestigious music organization.
Formerly the San Diego Symphony’s development director, Corey, 46, aims to continue the society’s presentations of renowned orchestras and chamber ensembles, to help build a strong financial base and to negotiate a more open artistic policy regarding world music and dance presentations at the O.C. Performing Arts Center. Still commuting from San Diego, Corey plans to move with his family to O.C. soon.
