Chevron Site Attacked in Angola: Government troops reinforced security around the oil company’s drill site after an attack wounded one worker and forced evacuation of the base, a military officer said. Three mortars rounds exploded inside the fortified site in Malongo in the northern Angolan enclave of Cabinda just after midnight Saturday, Chevron said. The attackers were believed to be members of the Separatist Front for the Liberation of the Enclave of Cabinda. Chevron workers were evacuated by boat to offshore oil rigs. They returned to the base Sunday after government troops had secured the area, and production resumed.
