Northrop Gets More B-2 Funds: The Air Force said it awarded an additional $4.41 billion to the Los Angeles-based aerospace concern for continued work on the nation’s final five B-2 stealth bombers. Production of the bat-wing aircraft is expected to be completed in early 1998. Northrop is building a total of 20 B-2 bombers for the Air Force at a cost of $44 billion. The first operational B-2 was delivered to the Air Force last month.
