CALDWELL, Ohio — The man who pleaded guilty to killing five outdoorsmen in Ohio was ordered to pay $5 million to a victim’s widow.
Thomas Lee Dillon avoided the death penalty by pleading guilty in July to shooting the men from 1989 to 1992 while they hunted, fished or jogged.
Victims included Gary Bradley of Williamstown, W.Va., whose widow sued, seeking $5 million in damages.
Noble County Common Pleas Judge John Nau ruled in her favor Thursday. Dillon was not in court and there was no lawyer there representing him.
