FULLERTON : Information Day for Amputees to Be Held

Amputee Information Day, a conference for people who have lost a limb, will be held Saturday at the Sequoia Athletic Club.
Sponsored by the Amputee Resource Center, the conference will feature presentations on prosthetic technology, relationships between patients and doctors, coping with limb loss and phantom pain, and techniques for enjoying sports after amputation.
Mary Novotny, president of the Amputee Coalition of America, will be the keynote speaker. She will address the ramifications of health care legislation on amputees.
The conference will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the athletic club, 1535 Deerpark Drive, Fullerton.
There is no charge for the event, but reservations are required.
