CSUN Booster Micelli, 50, Dies

CAMARILLO — Nicholas Micelli, father of Cal State Northridge basketball player Peter Micelli, was found dead in a Camarillo motel room on Thursday, apparently the victim of a heart attack.
Micelli, 50, a Beverly Hills attorney, was a loyal fan of the Matador basketball team, often attending road games.
Barry Smith, a school spokesman, said Micelli was en route to San Francisco to work on a case after stopping Wednesday in Northridge to deliver food and supplies to students displaced by Monday’s earthquake.
Micelli, is survived by his wife, Frances, son Peter and daughters Pauline and Maria. Funeral arrangements will be announced today.
