WEEKEND TV : Earthquake Updates Fill the Schedule

This weekend, several national and local programs will focus on Monday’s Northridge earthquake and relief for its victims.
Here’s a list of shows with earthquake reports:
Today: “Today” features the Southern California earthquake, as well as a look at new houseware items; a Lake Placid, N.Y., luge camp and author Michael Crichton (“Disclosure”), 6 a.m. (4)(39); 7 a.m. (36).
Gov. Pete Wilson, Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) and County Supervisor Yvonne Brathwaite Burke discuss the rebuilding after Monday’s temblor on “Newsmaker Saturday,” 10:30 a.m. CNN.
The earthquake is discussed on “Larry King Weekend,” 6 p.m., CNN.
Earthquake preparedness in other U.S. cities is the topic on “The Crusaders,” 7 p.m. (4).
“Front Page” presents an update on the Northridge earthquake, 9 p.m. (11)(6).
Sunday: “Sunday Today” looks at the Northridge earthquake. Also featured is a report on Golden Globe winners, 6 a.m. (4)(39); 7 a.m. (36).
“Sunday Morning” features earthquake updates, as well as Reps. Cynthia McKinney (D-Ga.) and Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) discuss issues awaiting Congress; composers Jerry Bock, Sheldon Harnick; Nebraska farm families and preserving historical Las Vegas sites, “The Critic,” 7:30 a.m. (2); 8 a.m. (8).
An update on the earthquake with Mayor Richard Riordan is featured on “This Week With David Brinkley,” 11:30 a.m. (7)(3), 10 a.m. (10). . . .
