CASITAS SPRINGS : Repairs After Crash Close Highway 33

California 33 was closed at Casitas Springs for seven hours Tuesday as utility crews repaired power lines that were knocked down during a hit-and-run accident that sent two men to the hospital, authorities said.
Morning commuters between Ojai and Ventura were forced to detour around Oak View on Santa Ana Road.
The accident occurred about 12:10 a.m. Tuesday when an unidentified driver lost control of his car and slammed into the utility pole.
The man fled the scene, leaving two injured passengers, authorities said.
Juan Carlos Gomez Ortiz, 25, of Ojai, was taken to Ventura County Medical Center with moderate injuries. He was listed in good condition late Tuesday, a nursing supervisor said.
The second passenger, Javier Francisco Sanchez, 26, of Ojai was also taken to Ventura County Medical Center with injuries. A nursing supervisor said he was in satisfactory condition Tuesday evening.
CHP officials were still looking for the driver Tuesday night. He is wanted on suspicion of drunk driving and felony hit and run.
