Iwerks to Build Simulation Theater at Six Flags Park
- Share via
Burbank-based Iwerks Entertainment has signed an agreement with Six Flags Theme Parks to build a 100-seat simulation ride theater for the Six Flags park in Jackson, N.J. Iwerks said it will also produce a simulation film based on the movie “The Right Stuff,” which will be seen in the theater.
Financial details of the deal were not released. Iwerks said it expected the theater to debut this spring.
Separately, the company said Eric G. Rodli will assume the role of chief operating officer in addition to his current position as chief financial officer. Iwerks, which went public last fall, is a supplier of special-format movie theaters, motion-simulation rides and virtual-reality games.
