Allied Signal’s Torrance-based aerospace unit said it terminated discussions about a joint venture with Sextant Avionique of France to form one of the world’s largest producers of avionics. . . . Lee A. Iacocca, former chairman of Chrysler Corp., has formed a merchant banking firm to seek innovative investment opportunities. Iacocca Capital Group will be based in Los Angeles, where Iacocca moved after retiring from Chrysler.
