SOUTH-CENTRAL : Tip From Homeless Man Leads to Stolen Computers
- Share via
A tip from a homeless man led police Tuesday to a house in South-Central Los Angeles where about $300,000 worth of stolen computer monitors were found.
Officers found the monitors throughout the house and in the back yard in the 300 block of West 88th Place, said Los Angeles Police Detective Ray Allen. The monitors apparently were stolen from a truck parked near Indiana Street and Olympic Boulevard.
A man pushing a shopping cart became suspicious when he saw what he thought was a large number of TV sets in the back yard, so he notified police.
Police believe that the thieves unloaded the truck and ditched it at 98th Street and Avalon Boulevard, where it was found by officers.
